What makes them one of a kind
Genes and Traits
Three Genes and an individual Trait help you decide which Keeplings to keep, train or breed.
A successful wild capture rolls Genes for HP, Power and Defense, along with an individual Trait. Check the result before deciding where your new Keepling belongs.

Pass chosen Genes down through breeding
HP, Power and Defense
Each Gene has a value from 1 to 50. A capture might have the Power you want for your team, or the Defense you need for a breeding pair. You can inspect all three.
Traits change the plan
A species has a fixed Passive, but each captured Keepling also has its own Trait. That Trait stays with it, so a useful combination can be worth building a team around.
Starters keep it fair
Your first partner is the exception: starters arrive with flat, dependable Genes. That way, choosing Acornap, Emberling, or Seraphite is about the species, not a lucky roll.
